The UCI Women's World Tour 2023 kicked off in Australia in mid-January and ended for the first time in China with the Tour of Guangxi in mid-October. Highlights of the biggest race series in women's cycling included Demi Vollering winning the Tour de France Femmes and Annemiek van Vleuten's numerous victories. The Dutchwoman retired from professional road cycling at the end of the season.
For economic reasons, the two Vargarda West Sweden races and the Women's Tour in Great Britain were cancelled in the 2023 UCI Women's World Tour. This meant that there were a total of 27 World Tour races in 2023.
