Albert Einstein's personal bicycle saddle will be auctioned by Dominic Winter Auctioneers on 20 May 2026. The brown leather saddle from 1929 comes from the German manufacturer Ludwig Nelson Fahrradbau and is provided with handwritten order documents, which Einstein filled out and signed on 26 March 1929. The physicist gave the saddle and bicycle to his colleague Max von Laue shortly before his emigration on 29 November 1932. The auction house estimates the value at between 7,000 and 10,000 pounds sterling.
