The Giro d'Italia 2024 starts on 4 May and comprises 21 stages on the way to Rome. Cycling fans can watch all stages on TV, and the Giro d'Italia will also be live-streamed online today and on all other stage days.
In contrast to the Tour de France, the most prestigious cycling race in the world, there will be no coverage on the public broadcasters ARD and ONE. In Germany, all 21 stages of the Giro d'Italia 2024 will be broadcast by sports channel Eurosport 1.
The TV channel Eurosport 1 is available on free-to-air TV in Germany. The programme can be received via satellite, cable, IPTV or in some regions via DVB-T.
Cycling commentator Karsten Migels is on duty at the Giro d'Italia 2024. During the first week of the race, Jens Voigt will provide special impressions directly from the peloton by once again hopping on the support bike and gathering insights from the centre of the action. During this time, Fabian Wegmann will take Voigt's place at the microphone during the stages.
After each stage, the "Velo Club", Eurosport's cycling show, analyses the day's events once again. The 30-minute Giro show is hosted by David Marcour. Together with commentator Karsten Migels and the experts Rolf Aldag, Robert Bengsch and Jens Voigt as well as guest Fabian Wegmann in the first week, the most important scenes are analysed.
The 2024 Tour of Italy will not only be broadcast on TV. Cycling fans can also watch it digitally via live stream. The Giro d'Italia can be streamed today and on all other days via Discovery Plus. However, there is a charge for this service, but the advantage is that it is broadcast without adverts.
