The uphill finale to Salvaterra de Miño suited the profile of the Dutchwoman, who is known for her sprints on the climbs. Despite the pain caused by the injury, Vos fought her way to the finish and took seventh place. The severity of the injury was only determined by medical examinations after the race.

Record at the Vuelta Femenina

Vos holds the record for the most stage wins at the Vuelta España Femenina. Since the new edition of the tour in 2023, the Dutchwoman has taken part in all four editions. She won three stages at the premiere in 2023, followed by two more stage wins in 2024 and one stage win last season. With a total of six victories, Vos leads the list of winners of the Tour of Spain. However, she will be missing the team for the next few weeks, but is aiming for a speedy recovery. With Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, the team has one of the top favourites for overall victory, which is why the loss of the cycling star is particularly bitter for the racing team. In addition to her ambitions for stage wins, Vos was planned as an important helper on the final stages.
