Cannondale CAAD Optimo 1

The Cannondale CAAD Optimo 1 from 2024 is a high-quality road bike that is available for a price of EUR 1499. The frame is made of SmartForm C2 Alloy and is equipped with SAVE technology. It has a tapered head tube and mudguard mounts and is designed for 130x10mm quick releases. The fork is made of full carbon and also has mudguard mounts as well as a 1-1/8" to 1-1/4" steerer tube and is designed for 100x9mm quick releases.

The braking system of the CAAD Optimo 1 is realised by Tektro R741 dual pivot brake callipers, which are operated by Shimano 105 brake levers. The shifting system consists of a complete Shimano 105 groupset, including the GS rear derailleur, a Shimano 105 front derailleur with a 31.8 clamp and Shimano 105 shift levers with 11 gears. The drivetrain is realised by a KMC X11 chain, which also supports 11 gears.

FSA MegaExo is used for the bottom bracket, while the crankset is made of FSA Gossamer Alloy and offers a 50/34 ratio. The sprocket is a Shimano 105 with an 11-30 ratio and is also designed for 11 gears.

The cockpit of the bike includes a Cannondale 3 handlebar made of 6061 aluminium in a compact design, Cannondale bar tape with a thickness of 3.5mm as grips and a Cannondale 3 stem made of 6061 aluminium with an angle of 7 degrees and a diameter of 31.8mm. The headset is a CAAD Optimo, which tapers from 1-1/8" to 1-1/4" and has a 25mm top cap.

The wheels consist of RS 2.0 rims with 24 spokes at the front and 28 spokes at the rear, which are made of stainless steel with a thickness of 14g. The hubs are a Formula RB-56 at the front and a Formula RB-5711 at the rear. The tyres are Vittoria Zaffiro Pro Slick in size 700x25c, both front and rear.

The saddle is a Cannondale Stage CX, mounted on a Cannondale 3 seat post made of 6061 aluminium with the dimensions 27.2x350mm. The gross weight of the bike is about 31000 grams.
