The Cannondale CAAD has a technically very good aluminium frame with a lifetime warranty; apart from the tyres, the equipment is of high quality.

With the CAAD 10 aluminium frame, Cannondale currently has one of the most interesting carbon alternatives in its range. The neatly finished, robust anodised frame scores with high stiffness and good suspension comfort on the saddle. The complete bike compensates for its relatively high weight compared to its carbon competitors with its generous equipment. The Dura-Ace groupset and WH-RS80 wheels from Shimano with aluminium-carbon rims are among the best this test field has to offer and reduce the weight to an attractive 7.3 kilos. Minor weaknesses such as subjectively hard-rolling training tyres or visually incongruous light grey Ultegra brakes are easy to get over. During the ride test, the bike leaves no doubt as to its purpose. A stretched seating position, neutral steering - this is how a true thoroughbred racer rides.
