From 21 to 29 September 2019, the 86th Road Cycling World Championships will take place in the British province of Yorkshire. Our World Championships special provides all the information on the route, TV times and riders.

The 2019 Road Cycling World Championships in and around Harrogate will take place over a total of eleven competitions on eight race days. Before the road cycling elite battle for the world titles begins on Sunday, 22 September, four para-cycling competitions will take place on Saturday, 21 September. The races are not world championships, but serve to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The event continues with the mixed team relay competition, held for the first time, in which three men and then three women take to the course one after the other. There will no longer be a classic team time trial as there was last year in Innsbruck. On the following Monday, 23rd September, the time trial competitions will begin, which, like the road races, will be held in five age groups.

TV times

Eurosport will broadcast all races live on Eurosport 1, except for the mixed team time trial, which will be shown on Eurosport 2. The ZDF will be broadcasting the final stages of the men's and women's road races live on TV. The men's and women's individual time trials can be watched in the livestream at zdfsport.de.
