test individuel : Casque Specialized S-Works Prevail
PLUSConvenient twist lock; lightweight

The new top-of-the-range S-Works Prevail helmet from Specialized differs technically from its predecessor, the S-Works (which remains in the range), mainly in the adjustment mechanism. The new model now has a twist lock that locks in both directions and can be used to adjust the five-position height-adjustable headband. The straps are a little closer to the head and a non-adjustable soft strap guides them around the ears. Although the design has changed slightly, the open front section has been retained and a Kevlar ring integrated into the helmet shell is designed to hold the structure together in the event of an impact. The Prevail's twist lock works much better than the ratchet on its predecessor, allowing the helmet to be adjusted comfortably in an instant. The weight is the same: the scales show 195 grams for size M, but the new top model is better made overall.
