Well protected from precipitation by high mountains, the valleys of South Tyrol are dry and blessed with many hours of sunshine. Mediterranean plants already grow around Merano/Meran. The best climatic conditions for road cycling. The landscape is in no way inferior: Early in the year, when the high passes are still covered in snow, small roads lead through the vineyards and apple orchards around Merano to the south of Bolzano. Later on, many are drawn to the mountains, where some passes are often only passable from mid-May.
Whether it's a secluded side valley, secret paths or famous Dolomite passes: there's something for everyone on our twelve road bike tours plus the Sellaronda.
Steep ramps and gentle cycle paths - apples and cyclists' dreams ripen in the sun-kissed Merano region and the Venosta Valley. The mild climate with more than 300 days of sunshine a year is perfect for cyclists. Our four road bike tours lead from the gentle Adige Valley to the 48 hairpin bends on the Stelvio Pass.
South of Bolzano, cyclists can expect a landscape of vineyards and orchards surrounded by mountains, where the road cycling season lasts from spring until late autumn. With our four road bike tours, there is something for everyone: scooters will get their money's worth in the wide Adige Valley on well-developed cycle paths, while climbers will find their terrain on the Meldel and Gampen Passes or up to Monte Pénegal.
The Dolomites are known for their spectacular mountains and the beautiful and busy pass roads that wind around them. What is less well known is that there are also secluded paths hidden among the mountain ranges.
The circumnavigation of the Sella massif, the Sella Ronda, is one of the most impressive mountain passes in the Alps.
