Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe celebrates its sixth win of the season. After 183.5 kilometres between Vila Real Santo António and Tavira, Jordi Meeus won the 3rd stage of the Tour of the Algarve 2025 in a sprint ahead of Alberto Dainese (Tudor Pro Cycling Team) and Biniam Girmay (Intermarché - Wanty). The overall lead remains with Swiss rider Jan Christen (UAE Team Emirates - XRG), who triumphed on the Alto da Foia on Thursday.

It is the 26-year-old Meeus' 12th professional victory and the sixth success for Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe this year. Previously, Sam Welsford had already won three stages of the Tour Down Under, Finn Fisher-Black took the title at the New Zealand individual time trial championships and Maxim Van Gils won the first stage of the Ruta del Sol.
The Tour of the Algarve runs until Sunday. On Saturday, 175.2 hilly kilometres await between Albufeira and Faro, on the last day the classification riders are challenged in the 19.6 kilometre individual time trial between Salir and Malhão.
