Simon Geschke wird das Bergtrikot weiterhin tragen, weil der neue Wertungs-Spitzenreiter Vingegaard bereits in Gelb fährt.
After nine days in the Tour de France, professional cyclist Simon Geschke has lost the mountains jersey to overall leader Jonas Vingegaard. Nevertheless, the 36-year-old will continue to wear the red-spotted jersey.

Geschke as deputy in the mountain jersey

How can that be? As long as Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) wears the yellow jersey as leader, the second-placed rider in the mountain classification has to stand in as deputy.

This is still SImon Geschke (Cofidis), who is 64 points behind Vingegaard (72). However, he can no longer overtake the Dane. There are only three mountain points up for grabs on the last three stages.
