The third stage of the RideLondon Classique 2024 also ended in a bunch sprint - and for the third time the winner was Lorena Wiebes (SD Worx - Protime). After a strong lead-out from team-mate Lotte Kopecky, only Charlotte Kool (Team dsm-firmenich PostNL) tried to catch the Dutchwoman. However, Wiebes once again clearly had more speed than her rivals and therefore also won the third stage. With three first places, she also won the overall classification ahead of Charlotte Kool and Lotte Kopecky.
On the 91 kilometre long 3rd stage, which was mostly a circuit through London, it took a long time before the first effective attacks were made. It was not until 44 kilometres before the finish that Kaja Rysz (Lifeplus Wahoo) opened up a clear gap to the peloton. A little later, Scarlett Souren (VolkerWessels Women's Pro Cycling Team) joined her. Together, however, they were unable to open up too much of a lead. The maximum lead was 50 seconds. With 22 kilometres to go, the duo was caught again after an intermediate sprint classification. Ally Wollaston and Letizia Paternoster were particularly active in the points classification, each winning an intermediate sprint. In the end, there was a bunch sprint, which was won by Lorena Wiebes ahead of Charlotte Kool and her rider Lotte Kopecky.
