Beinahe-Bergkönig Simon Geschke wird nach der Tour de France wohl bei der Deutschland Tour an den Start gehen.
After the Tour de France, the Tour of Germany is the next highlight for the majority of German riders.

The almost mountain king Simon Geschke (Cofidis) will probably take part in the five-day tour from 24 to 28 August, even though his team is not taking part. He is expected to ride for the national team. The WorldTour team Bora-Hansgrohe relies on the German drivers.

"We want to prioritise the Germans to some extent. We have people like last year's winner Nils Politt, Max Schachmann and Lennard Kämna in mind," Denk told the German Press Agency.

Kämna with great performances at the Tour de France

Kämna was absent from the Tour de France in Megeve only eleven seconds from the yellow jerseythe North German missed out on the stage win in La Planche des Belles Filles by less than 100 metres. Kämna dropped out after the second rest day due to a cold.

Buchman to the Vuelta a Espana

Emanuel Buchmann, seventh in the Giro d'Italiawho was not deployed in France, will meanwhile be working from 19 August at the Vuelta a Espana participate.

"Emu has already ridden a great Giro with his second top ten finish in a grand tour. Now he's riding the Tour of Spain. Then we have a clear picture for the future," emphasised Denk.
