The Criterium du Dauphine 2023 kicks off the hot phase of preparation for the Tour de France. TOUR shows where the Criterium du Dauphine can be seen today on TV and live stream.

The Tour de France starts on 1 July in Bilbao in the Basque Country. Until then, there are still a few preparatory races - such as the Criterium du Dauphine, which starts on 4 June and ends on 11 June. The cycling stars around Jonas Vingegaard can expect a tough programme with 1212.5 kilometres and more than 21,000 metres of elevation gain over the eight stages. Cycling fans can look forward to thrilling stages in south-east France.

Which TV channel is broadcasting the Criterium du Dauphine 2023 today?

The Criterium du Dauphine 2023 will not be broadcast live on free-to-air TV in Germany. The pay-TV sports channel Eurosport 2 will be showing five of the eight stages live - the race can be seen there from Tuesday to Saturday without a time delay. On the remaining days, the Criterium du Dauphine 2023 will only be streamed live. Eurosport 1 will broadcast a delayed summary of the stages in the evening.

Cycling stars at the start

The starting field for the Criterium du Dauphine 2023 is packed with big names. Last year's winner of the Tour de France, Jonas Vingeagaard, is also taking part. The Dane already finished second at the Dauphine last year, behind his Jumbo-Vismateam-mate Primoz Roglic, who recently triumphed at the Giro d'Italia. Vingegaard's great rival Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates), on the other hand, is not to be found at the Dauphine. But other strong classification riders such as David Gaudu (Groupama-FDJ), Mikel Landa (Bahrain-Victorious) or Enric Mas (Movistar), who are subjecting their form to a final endurance test before the Tour of France.
