The route of the Giro d'Italia 2026 was presented in Milan on 1 December. The Tour of Italy begins with a foreign start and three stages in Bulgaria. After 3,459 kilometres and 21 stages, the Giro ends in Rome. Traditionally, there are plenty of metres in altitude and seven mountain finishes. There is also a 40 kilometre long, flat individual time trial. Due to the long transfer from Bulgaria, there is an additional rest day.
