The previous internal team record of 27 victories in 2023 was pulverised again this year by Lidl-Trek. In the statistics of the World Tour teams, only UAE Team Emirates has more victories (81). The most significant victories in 2024 were Mads Pedersen's win at Gent-Wevelgem and Jonathan Milan's three stage wins at the Giro d'Italia. The only thing missing is a victory in a major classic, which was hardly possible due to bad luck with injuries and illness, and a stage win in the Tour de France.
Mads Pedersen is just ahead of his sprinter colleague Jonathan Milan (11 wins) in the internal team rankings. In addition to Gent-Wevelgem, he also won two stages of the Deutschland Tour plus the overall classification as well as three stages and the overall classification of the Tour de la Provence.
Jasper Stuyven is the rider who has spent the most days in the saddle - three more than Edward Theuns (76). Stuyven's racing programme included two Grand Tours, the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France, which brings him to 12874 kilometres of racing - the best figure and 558 more than Theuns, who is also second here.
Not much is happening at Lidl-Trek in terms of personnel. Nevertheless, the transfers are exciting - especially from a German perspective. Lennard Kämna, one of the best-known professionals in Germany, and Tim Torn Teutenberg, one of the biggest talents, are joining the team. Kämna will try to catch up with the world's best again after his serious accident in Tenerife and for Teutenberg it's all about gaining his first experience in the big races.
