The French team has nine successes to its name in 2024. That's not a lot and one less than last year. However, one success saved the entire season for Arkea-B&B Hotels: Kevin Vauquelin secured the first Tour de France stage win in the team's history on stage 2 and is also likely to have made cycling sponsor Bianchi happy on Italian soil in Bologna.
Vauquelin also won the time trial at the Etoile de Besseges right at the start of the season in February. The second rider with two victories is Arnaud Demare. The sprinter joined Groupama-FDJ in mid-2023 and was initially unable to fulfil the expectations placed in him in 2024. Towards the end of the 2024 season, however, hope was rekindled with two victories in stage 4 of the Tour Poitou and the one-day Paris-Chauny race.
Lukasz Owsian leads these statistics at Arkea-B&B Hotels 2024. Although the 34-year-old all-rounder from Poland only took part in one Grand Tour, the Vuelta a Espana, he rode almost everything from the Clasica Valenciana in January to the Tour de Romandie in April. In total, he covered 12788 kilometres of racing. However, Mathis Le Berre is the leader in the team with 12917 kilometres.
Arkea-B&B Hotels is recruiting exclusively from its own young talent - the team is bringing up four riders. Whether this will be enough to compensate for the departures is questionable. The change of Daniel McLay, who will be riding the sprints for Olav Kooij at Visma | Lease a Bike in future, is likely to hit the French team particularly hard.
