VELOBerlin will return to the site of the former Tempelhof Airport in 2026 and transform this historic location into a comprehensive bicycle festival on 11 and 12 April. Hangar 5 and the partly covered outdoor area will become the stage for the latest developments in the bicycle industry. The organisers are expecting up to 20,000 visitors, who will be able to explore the diverse range of products on offer from over 200 exhibitors. In addition to the product presentations, there will be five different test tracks where interested visitors can try out the bikes on display under real-life conditions. The programme is complemented by three stages with lectures and discussions as well as three food courts with international street food.

Interactive programme with workshops and races

A central element of VELOBerlin 2026 is the interactive experience opportunities. Visitors can test the bikes on display on five different test tracks and fun courses. The workshop programme ranges from do-it-yourself workshops to riding technique courses and provides hands-on experience. Various race formats will be held under the motto "Tempolove". Sporting highlights include the Berlin state championship in individual time trials and road races with routes across Tempelhofer Feld, past the historic sultana bomber in front of the airport building. There will also be a fixed-gear crit and cargo bike and wheel races. VELOBerlin takes place on the weekend of the Paris-Roubaix race - which is why the race is also included in the accompanying programme.
