Pilot is presenting a new titanium road bike at Eurobike. The speciality are 3D-printed sleeves, which are glued to the tubes. The tubes come from either Sweden or the USA, the 3D printing takes place at Element22 in Kiel and the adhesive comes from Eindhoven. The company's motto is to be as local as possible.

Using FEM analysis, i.e. complex computer simulations of material loads, the sleeves were optimised so that the frame weighs 1300 grams, 200 grams lighter than the welded frame.

The high-end body of the bike presented at the trade fair costs around 15,000 euros, but a complete bike is also possible from around 11,000 euros.

Thanks to 3D printing, it is easy to customise the geometry and thus offer other bikes with this production method in the future, for example a gravel bike is also planned.
