Fewer trade visitors (33780) and more end consumers (27370) than at the previous location in Friedrichshafen summarise the Eurobike premiere in Frankfurt. TOUR asked industry representatives for their assessment of the bike show.

Voices from the Eurobike: Susanna Kindler

Director Business Unit Brand & Product, Uvex

"The concept of the Consumer Days was not convincing. There was no opportunity to buy products, and many of the trade fair stands were purely aimed at trade visitors. As a result, the stands of some manufacturers were almost deserted at the weekend. However, Eurobike still has a lot of potential and will continue to be a relevant industry gathering in the future."

Voices from the Eurobike: Alexander Müllmann

Owner and Managing Director, Sport Import GmbH

"The move to Frankfurt was right and logical, especially on an international level, because our industry can now position itself even more prominently and professionally. It may not yet be as well known among end consumers at the new location as it was in Friedrichshafen, but it will certainly go its own way."

"In terms of visitor numbers - especially on the public days - there would certainly be more to be gained from the central location. Eurobike is an established meeting place where you can meet your suppliers and industry partners. You can never have enough of the media impact and also the lobbying and political factor of such major events."

"Eurobike has made a convincing start at its new location. The infrastructure in Frankfurt alone is a good argument. Of course, you could still notice points of friction in one corner or another. Now we need to attract even more people to the trade fair, especially on the Festival Days. Then nothing stands in the way of a successful future."
