The Cube Nuroad gets a motorised version! After Cube introduced electrified gravel bikes with the Fazua Evation motor early on, the Bavarian industry giant is now launching an entire fleet of e-gravel bikes with Bosch's Performance SX. This sleek package relies on high-quality carbon frames, tyre clearance of up to 50 millimetres and an extensive accessory package for everyday use and bikepacking.
The Nuroad without motor has already impressed in various tests. Most recently, the affordable yet surprisingly light Cube Nuroad C:62 Pro won the test in our comparison. With a full carbon frame and a remarkably low weight, it stands out from the crowd of bikes. The hybrid model, its motorised brother, is also said to have inherited these features. With the Bosch SX motor and the permanently installed 400 battery, the top model should weigh less than 13 kilos.
Every Nuroad Hybrid has been developed to push the boundaries of adventure. The adventure is as individual as the rider - because everyone can experience the world anew. - Cube Bikes

As usual with Cube, the e-bike relies on a Bosch drive. The new Performance SX is used for the sporty purpose. With a weight of 2.1 kilos and dynamic power delivery, the little brother of the well-known CX is ideal for lightweight e-bikes and sporty rides. Together with the compact 400 watt-hour battery, the system weighs a total of 4.1 kilos. The SX looks beefier compared to a TQ HPR 50 or a Fazua Ride 60, for example, but the Bosch offers a significantly higher maximum output. However, this is only released during intermediate sprints and at a very high cadence. This gives the lightweight motor an extremely dynamic and lively riding experience.
Cube has come up with a few ideas to make the new Nuroad Hybrid as versatile as possible. The FE model already comes with a semi-integrated pannier rack, which makes it possible to load luggage. The carrier can be retrofitted to all other models. Additional storage space is provided by the Low Rider luggage rack attached to the full carbon fork, which can carry up to 10 kg. The chassis is also prepared for mudguards and a kickstand (included on the FE model).
If you want to transport even more, you can increase the capacity with Acid sidecages or a handlebar bag. The accessories portfolio of Cube's own brand Acid includes a wide range of matching bags, lights, stands and mudguards.
The series comprises five different models with prices ranging from €3999 to €6999. Three of the models are characterised by a simple and sporty design, without additional equipment. However, they can be customised with accessories as required. The two FE models, on the other hand, already come with mudguards, a pannier rack, a kickstand and lights.
The sporty spearhead of the series is the Nuroad Hybrid C:62 SLT 400X, which is optimised for low weight and, according to Cube, should only weigh a slim 12.9 kilos. It is equipped with the lightweight yet stable Newmen Advanced SL X.R.25 carbon wheels, which perfectly match the slim carbon frame. Precise and fast shifting is provided by the Sram XX SL Eagle, with power coming directly from the Bosch battery in the down tube of the bike. Like all models in the Nuroad Hybrid range, this bike can also be upgraded with an additional capacity of 250 Wh using Bosch's Power More.
The Nuroad Hybrid C:62 SLX 400X and its fully equipped variant with everyday features, the Nuroad Hybrid C:62 SLX FE 400X, enable precise shifting even under load thanks to the electronic GX Eagle transmission from Sram. Both models are powered directly by the 400 Wh battery, so no additional battery is required. With the sturdy Newmen Evolution SL X.R.25 wheels and the 45 mm wide Schwalbe tyres, these bikes can easily master any type of surface. Whether on tarmac roads, gravel paths or simple trails - any adventure is achievable with these bikes. According to Cube, the weights are 13.8 and 15.2 kilos respectively.
The models Nuroad Hybrid C:62 Race 400X and Nuroad Hybrid C:62 Race FE 400X both offer the robust 12-speed Shimano GRX gravel groupset. The Nuroad Hybrid C:62 Race FE 400X is also equipped with useful extras for the daily commute to work or weekend excursions with luggage. This makes exciting gravel tours at the weekend or in your free time possible without any problems. According to Cube, the weights are 14.3 and 15.7 kilos.
