In the past, stars such as Mathieu van der Poel, Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado and Puck Pieterse have achieved numerous successes on the Canyon Inflite. The 2023 version is set to cause another furore. The new cyclocross bike series from Koblenz consists of four models and two carbon frame platforms based on the tried-and-tested Inflite frame. Here is an overview of the different models.
The professional version of the Canyon Inflite is the CF SLX 9, a cyclocross bike equipped with the SRAM Force eTap AXS 1x groupset. The cassette has a gradation of 10-36 teeth. As with all Inflite 1x drivetrain models, a 40 t chainring is fitted at the front. There is also a Quarq power meter and DT Swiss CRC carbon wheels, which according to Canyon are currently fitted exclusively.
We recommend 33 millimetre wide cross tyres for the CRC 1400 and CRC 1600 wheelsets. The complete Inflite CF SLX 9 package will cost 4699 euros.
In addition to the Inflite CF SLX 9, Canyon offers three more affordable CF SL models - such as the CF SL 8. This cyclocross bike is aimed at ambitious amateur riders and those who want to become one. The SRAM Rival eTap AXS groupset and the one-piece H31 ergocockpit are on board. There are also CRC carbon wheels from DT Swiss. Overall, the CF SL 8, priced at € 3699, is 520 grams heavier than the CF SLX 9 with standard equipment.
Another Inflite model on offer is the CF SL 7 for 2999 euros. It is the only model with two chainrings. This bike uses a mix of GRX and Ultegra components. It is also equipped with a 4iiii power meter.
The Canyon Inflite CF SL 6 is aimed at beginners in the cyclocross sector. However, it is the only model that does not have a power meter. In addition, the cheapest version has to make do with Cross LN aluminium wheels from DT Swiss and a Shimano GRX 600 drivetrain. This is also reflected in the price. The Canyon Inflite CF SL 6 only costs € 1999.
