The Scott Addict Gravel was not a pioneer in the race-ready gravel bike segment; other manufacturers such as 3T, Cervélo or Ridley were a little earlier with their race bikes. Nevertheless, Scott can claim to have ingeniously transferred the speed feeling of a racing bike to off-road terrain with its current model range. The conclusion from our TOUR testThe Scott Addict Gravel 10 is easy to maintain, has a wide range of gears and convinces with its stiffness values. Offer: >> currently at Sport Bittl for 4498 euros instead of 6599 euros.
The high-end version of the Trek Madone has already proven itself at the Giro d'Italia. But how does the Trek Madone SL 7 (here in the TOUR test) in the middle class? For less than 7,000 euros, this road bike catches the eye with its striking design. It also offers good comfort at the rear. Strikingly stylish, but also strikingly good? The speed deficit compared to the SLR 9, which is more than twice as expensive, is mainly due to the slower handlebar/stem combination. The tuning potential is limited, as the SL 7 requires significantly more pedalling power than the most streamlined models under € 7,000, even with faster wheels. In contrast to an early test bike with a higher frame, the current model has no weaknesses in terms of stiffness. Offer: at Fahrrad XXL the Trek Madone SL 7 currently for 5499 euros instead of 6499 euros.
Despite several years on the market, the aluminium model still looks modern and tidy: shift cables and brake lines run directly under the stem into the head tube, voluminous 45-millimetre tyres characterise the silhouette and the characteristically shaped frame looks unique and rich in detail, but not playful.
Our impressions from the TOUR test: The Atlas is well prepared for cycling holidays and other adventures. Standard features include: a small top tube bag, eyelets under the bottom bracket for a tool box as well as mudguard and pannier rack threads. Small carriers can be attached to three eyelets on each side of the carbon fork. There is also a mounting point for a front light and openings to route the light cable through the frame and fork. The conclusion in the TOUR test: very stable frame, finely graduated gearing. >> Offer: currently at Fahrrad XXL for 1799 euros instead of 1999 euros.
The Reveal makes joyrides on gravel (here in the TOUR test) but it feels most at home on the road. This is where the price cracker shows its unagitated side. The bike quickly feels familiar and is predestined for long days in the saddle thanks to the emphatically upright riding position. However, its sticky surface may not be to everyone's taste. The in-house aluminium wheels help the affordable speedster to stay in the slipstream of the lightest bikes in the category in terms of weight. >> Offer: the Rose Reveal 04 105 Di2 costs currently 2899 Euro instead of 3299 Euro.
With Van Rysel, you get a refreshingly straightforward up-and-comer for the money; he may be less charismatic than other candidates, but there are prominent examples in our Testwhich reveal that spectacular design alone and five-figure prices say nothing about quality. >> Offer: currently at Decathlon for 3579 euros instead of 4499 euros.
The addition Circle in the name of the Gonso Ride Miles Bib (here in the test) is not intended to indicate that you can ride in circles for a particularly long time with the new Bib Short, but that the shorts were developed with the circular economy in mind. Only single-origin materials are used, which can be easily recycled and returned to the material cycle at the end of the Bib Short's life.
The Gonso fits like a second skin. You can't feel the seams at any point and the feel of the material itself is great. Even when pedalling, the leg cuffs stay neatly in place. The straps sit comfortably and reliably prevent the padding from slipping under the bum. >> Offer: currently at Rose for 129 euros instead of 189 euros
Conclusion from our TOUR testGood all-round fit; runs small in size M, from 58 centimetres head circumference the head ring presses on the forehead; the Mips Spherical system with the two helmet shells is exclusive to Giro; it protects well against concussions, the shock absorption is good average; the adjustment in width and height works well, a pigtail fits comfortably through, the width adjustment wheel is quite small. >> Offer: currently for 189 euros instead of 260 euros
Thanks to its huge panoramic windscreen, the Smith offers the best view and sufficient protection from wind and flying objects. Its brown filter enhances contrasts, but is quite dark and tones rather slowly. You can switch to the clear lens using the magnetic clip. What we noticed positively in the testThe good anti-fog protection. Even on wide faces, the Smith sits almost too loosely and very high due to its low tension. >> Offer: currently at Bergzeit from 165 euros instead of 274 euros.
Taken together, the bags of the Trail series from Vaude The Vaude bags have a total packing volume of 42 litres and consist of a rucksack (8 litres), a handlebar bag with removable pack sack (12.5 litres), a saddle bag (10 litres), a fork bag (6 litres) and a frame bag (3 litres, all also with removable pack sack). All Vaude bags are designed to withstand bad weather and are waterproof.
A higher waistband and the new, seamless leg cuffs are designed to ensure a perfect fit to the female silhouette and significantly improve comfort. Thanks to the silicone prints on the generous, seamless cuffs, the shorts do not slip and always stay in the optimum position.
We noticed something else during the test: A particularly successful detail is the windstopper material trim in the intimate zone, which prevents cooling in the wind. The Gorewear women's bib shorts are not only functional, but also fulfil the high demands of sporty cyclists. >> Offer: currently 174 euros instead of 199 euros.
The Road cycling shoe has an improved carbon sole, two BOA twist fasteners and a one-piece upper. The mesh upper is made of TPU plastic. The model is priced below the S-Works Torch but above the Torch 2.0 model. Specialized promises that the carbon fibres in the carbon sole of the Torch 3.0 are unidirectional and that "in terms of stiffness, emphasis is placed on one direction." >> Offer: currently 179 euros instead of 250 euros.
