How do you like this article?

The Trek Madone SL 6 Gen 8 is an aero road bike with a 500-series OCLV carbon frame that provides a good stiffness-to-weight ratio. The full carbon frame uses "Full System Foil" tube profiles to optimise air resistance, combined with IsoFlow technology on the seat tube for a cushioned, more comfortable ride. The gears are electronically controlled via the 12-speed Shimano 105 Di2 groupset, which enables precise and fast gear changes. Bontrager Aeolus Elite carbon wheels, which are tubeless-ready ex works, are used for the wheels. The cockpit is internally wired, which makes the design slim and aerodynamic. The permissible system weight (rider, bike, luggage) is 125 kg. The Trek Madone SL 6 Gen 8 is also available with a 45 per cent discount. Here you can find the offer from Mount7: currently for 2749 euros instead of 4999 euros.

GPS bike computer Garmin Edge Explore 2

Navigating is the core competence of every bike computer. Together with e-bikes, they now form a powerful unit with added value. The new Garmin Edge Explore 2 now offers - in addition to numerous other functions - e-bike routing, which calculates the route based on the battery charge level, motor support and range. For the "Power" version of the Edge Explore 2, Garmin promises the Networking of bike, battery and bike computer. This is docked to the e-bike with the appropriate cables (available separately) and a bracket (Edge Power Mount). This allows the bike sat nav from Garmin to obtain the relevant on-board data. Together with the map data, the new Edge Explore adjusts the route if necessary so that nobody has to end their trip with an empty battery.

There is also a discount on the Garmin Edge Explore 2 GPS bike computer, which is practical for longer tours where you always need reliable route guidance. You can find the offer here: currently 199 euros instead of 239 euros.

The home trainer is the perfect way to exercise in the warm in winter. And within your own four walls.

It simulates gradients of up to 24%, which means that even challenging training sections can be realistically modelled. The maximum power of the trainer is up to 2300 W at around 40 km/h. The trainer connects via ANT+ FE-C and Bluetooth (FTMS), which makes it compatible with many training platforms (e.g. Zwift, Rouvy). Thanks to its wide base and foldable feet, the Direto XR-T is stable, even during hard sprints. It is supplied pre-assembled (no need to fit the cassette) and includes a travel block for the front wheel. A 12-month licence for the My E-Training app from Elite is also included. The Elite Direto XR-T is reduced on Black Friday at Decathlon. Check the offer here: 499 euros instead of 549 euros.

Vaude Loamer Rain Jacket

The name Loamer says it all. If you want to trudge through the forest on rainy days with pine needles splashing up and mud swirling around your tyres, then the new Vaude Loamer Rain Jacket (here in the test) well served.

The 2.5-layer jacket is equipped with a concealed zip and a hood for under the helmet. The sleeves close snugly around the wrist thanks to stretch cuffs with small flaps, while the hands can be kept warm in the front pockets on cool days. Click here for the offer: 105 euros instead of 140 euros.

Rose Backroad GRX

The Backroad is something of a people's bike and a pioneer for the gravel boom: light, stable, easy to control and with great seating comfort. Advanced riders probably wanted more dynamics, but now there's the sharper FF version. That was the conclusion from our BIKE test.

The Bocholter makes up for the lack of a second chainring with the twelfth sprocket and brake booster plus 180 mm disc at the front. This and a slim nine kilos allow almost more speed than you can muster in the riding position. You don't sit extremely behind the cranks, but the scales show a lot more weight on the rear wheel, which makes for double the comfort. The front wheel sits loosely, you have less weight on your hands and therefore feel fewer bumps. Click here for the offer: 2199 euros instead of 2999 euros.

Pinarello X

Pinarello XPhoto: PinarelloPinarello X

The traditional manufacturer from Treviso stands for racing like no other. Countless successes in World Tour races in recent years are closely linked to the name Pinarello. However, the Italians now want to make a name for themselves in the endurance sector with a new marathon racing bike and have developed the "X" for this purpose (here in the test). In contrast to the F models, the "X" comes with a geometry suitable for long distances.

Because an upright riding position alone does not make a specialist for long distances, Pinarello relies on two essential comfort elements. Firstly, as with comparable endurance models, up to 32 millimetre wide tyres fit through the frame and fork on the "X". Secondly, slightly curved seat stays are designed to absorb vibrations on poor terrain. Click here for the offer: 2798 euros instead of 4195 euros.

Bianchi Oltre Comp

The Oltre from Bianchi (here in the test) is visually one of the most spectacular racing bikes on the market. The pointed nose on the head tube, the flat tear-off edge on the rear triangle and the integrated air deflectors on the fork blades create a unique selling point and associate the Italo bike with a Formula 1 racing car. The traditional manufacturer itself even proclaimed an "aerovolution" at the launch two and a half years ago and promised significantly more speed for the top model than its predecessor. However, as the high-end version exceeds the upper price limit by almost double, Bianchi sent the Oltre Comp across the Alps; this, in turn, is nowhere near the budget and is one of the cheapest competition bikes in comparison. Click here for the offer: 3806 euros instead of 4958 euros.
