The name Loamer says it all. If you want to trudge through the forest on rainy days, with pine needles splashing up and mud swirling around your tyres, then the new Vaude Loamer Rain Jacket well served.
The 2.5-layer jacket is equipped with a concealed zip and a hood for under the helmet. The sleeves close snugly around the wrist thanks to stretch cuffs with small flaps, while the hands can be kept warm in the front pockets on cool days.
The Loamer has a sporty, relaxed cut and is slightly longer at the rear. This means that it not only cuts a fine figure off-road, but can also show off its all-round properties when commuting or strolling through the city.
The Vaude is an amazingly functional all-round rain jacket for trail and everyday use and works well both on the bike and when strolling through the city.
With the Loamer, Vaude proves that a good rain jacket doesn't have to cost a fortune. The weather protection is excellent, the membrane is waterproof and the waterproofing lasts longer than just one wash. Thanks to the long sleeves and slightly longer back, the Vaude jacket also fits well on the bike and offers plenty of freedom of movement. As is typical for Ceplex, the membrane feels a little sweaty, so a ventilation option would be nice, but is probably not feasible at this price point.
