POC Supreme Rain Jacket in the TOUR test: Anyone who charges almost 500 euros for a road bike rain jacket has to offer something special.

In this case, we are talking about the brand new Supreme Rain Jacket from POC. For example, the Swedish manufacturer promises absolute waterproofness up to a water column of 20,000 millimetres. That would be enough for a Road bike rain jacket a very good value. We checked the Swedes' promise with the Suter test, in which we tested the jacket several times at the seams with a test pressure of 0.6 bar (we only test rain jackets with 0.3 bar as standard). Result: Not a drop of water got through at any of the three seams. At the same time, the fist-sized foldable jacket made of three-layer material is very vapour permeable, which we checked in the practical test during several rain rides. In this respect, our testers gave the POC jacket a similarly good rating as the Shakedry from Gorewearwhich was the benchmark in this test category. The jacket also impresses in terms of fit and handling. Its cut anticipates the racing bike position very well, the back section doesn't ride up and the cuffs hold tight. On narrow shoulders, however, the jacket flutters during fast descents. The zip runs smoothly and the integrated pack sack is well designed and practical. Rain jackets from other manufacturers offer comparable features at half the price.
