Australian cycling clothing manufacturer Maap and Italian helmet manufacturer Kask are continuing their collaboration and presenting a new special edition of the top-of-the-range Elemento helmet. The special edition, which will be available from November 2025, combines the technical properties of the original model with an eye-catching graphic design that covers the entire outer shell. According to the manufacturer, the Elemento Special Edition (SE) was developed to offer cyclists an optimum balance between aerodynamics, ventilation and protection. Weighing 260 grams, the helmet fulfils the CE/UKCA-EN 1078SA safety standards. The cooperation between the two companies is not new - they have already jointly launched a special edition of the Kask Protone helmet in the past. The manufacturers are continuing this partnership with the Elemento SE, combining Maap's design language with Kask's technical expertise.

Innovative technologies for aerodynamics and safety

The Elemento SE utilises a design that, according to the manufacturer, overcomes the usual compromises between aerodynamics and ventilation. The engineers have redesigned the helmet from the ground up to ensure aerodynamic efficiency combined with high airflow. This is made possible by the innovative architecture and several key technologies. These technologies include the energy-absorbing composite material "Fluid Carbon 12", a technopolymer developed by Kask. The helmet also features a proprietary, 3D-printed "Multipod" inner padding, which is designed to provide increased impact protection. The ventilation structure of the Elemento SE has been specially developed to combine optimum airflow and aerodynamic properties. These technical features should make the helmet particularly interesting for cyclists who are looking for every possible advantage in competitions.

Comfort and fit for long journeys

When developing the Elemento SE, the manufacturers not only focussed on aerodynamics and safety, but also on wearing comfort. The helmet is equipped with Kask's "Octofit+" precision adjustment system, which is designed to allow individual adjustment to different head shapes. The inner padding is made of merino wool, while the chin strap is made of polyester - both materials that were already used in the original Elemento. With its low weight of 260 grams, the helmet should be comfortable to wear even on long rides. The combination of light weight, customisable fit and high-quality materials aims to maximise comfort without compromising on performance. The striking graphic design, which extends across the outer shell, is intended not only to fulfil aesthetic purposes, but also to complement the helmet's ventilation structure.

Market positioning and availability

The Elemento Special Edition is part of a series of collaborations between Maap and Kask, with the partnership aiming to offer high-performance products for ambitious cyclists. The helmet will be available from November 2025, with the manufacturers initially planning to launch in Melbourne, Australia, where Maap is headquartered. No pricing details were given in the announcement. The Special Edition follows the successful collaboration on a special edition of the Kask Protone helmet, continuing the strategic partnership between the two companies. With the Elemento SE, Maap and Kask are specifically targeting those cyclists who are looking for technically sophisticated products that fulfil both functional and aesthetic requirements. The combination of technical innovation and distinctive design is intended to position the helmet in the highly competitive market for high-performance cycling helmets.
