Both helmets were designed in the wind tunnel and tested in practice. While the Pursuit Mips is designed for aerodynamic efficiency at high speeds, the Rev Pro Mips focusses on optimum climate control at low climbing speeds. Liv AlUla Jayco and the Liv Racing Collective use both models in WorldTour races and elite triathlons. You can find a test of the Liv Langma road bike here.
Tests in the wind tunnel shaped the aerodynamic profile and the positioning of the vents on the Pursuit Mips. The result should enable a more even airflow across different angles of attack, speeds and head positions. The lightweight Mips Air Node Pro system is integrated into the EPS shell. Five levels of height adjustment, lightweight straps and a magnetic Fidlock fastener are all part of the equipment.
The Rev Pro Mips is optimised for maximum ventilation. Integrated reinforcements in the EPS shell distribute the impact forces across the helmet structure in the event of a fall and enable the large openings without additional weight; like the Pursuit, the Rev Pro is equipped with the Mips Air Node Pro system. The strap system, Cinch Pro Retention and the Fidlock fastener allow one-handed adjustment; goggles can be safely stored in the integrated goggle holder when not in use. Both models are available immediately; the manufacturer has not yet announced prices.
