Trek Speed Concept SLR 7

The 2023 "Speed Concept SLR 7" model from Trek is a state-of-the-art triathlon and time trial bike, characterised by its advanced technology and high-quality components. The price for this model is 9999 EUR.

The frame of the Speed Concept SLR 7 is made from 800 Series OCLV Carbon and features the aerodynamic KVF (Kammtail Virtual Foil) tube profile. It is fitted with a T47 bottom bracket and offers integrated solutions such as a Bento Box and a down tube storage compartment. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 136 kg, whilst its own weight is just 8 kg, contributing to its outstanding lightweight construction.

The braking system utilises Shimano Dura-Ace hydraulic disc brakes. Shimano CL800 Centre Lock brake discs with a diameter of 160 mm are fitted at both the front and rear. The shift levers are also from Shimano Dura-Ace and feature R9180 Di2 technology. The front derailleur is a Shimano Ultegra R8150 Di2 in the brazed version with a down-swing design.

The Speed Concept SLR 7’s fork is an SC full-foil carbon fork, featuring integrated brakes and a stem. The crankset consists of a Shimano Ultegra R8100 with 52/36 teeth and a crank arm length of 175 mm. The bottom bracket is a threaded Praxis T47. The cassette is a Shimano Ultegra R8101 with an 11–30 tooth range and 12 speeds.

The bike is fitted with a Speed Concept mid-rise handlebar and stem and runs on Bontrager R3 tyres in size 700 x 25. The wheelset consists of Bontrager Aeolus Pro 51 OCLV Carbon wheels, which are tubeless-ready and feature a 100 x 12 mm thru-axle at the front and a 142 x 12 mm thru-axle at the rear.

The saddle is a Bontrager Hilo Comp with CrMo-tube rails, mounted on a Speed Concept SLR seatpost with an offset of either 11.5 mm or -20 mm in the long version.

The bike’s packaging dimensions are 21 mm wide, 119 mm high and 189 mm long. The frame geometry comprises a reach of 44 mm, a stack of 56 mm, a seat tube length of 57 mm and a top tube length of 56 mm. The head tube angle is 72 degrees, the seat tube angle 78 degrees, the head tube length 14 mm, the chainstay length 41 mm, the standover height 83 mm and the wheelbase 105 mm.
