According to Trek, the new Speed Concept is faster than its predecessor. The triathlon bike is characterised by an aerodynamically integrated design.

Trek promises a time saving of six minutes on a "typical Ironman course" compared to the previous model for the new Speed Concept. Trek does not provide details of the calculation in the press release. After its predecessor emerged from the TOUR wind tunnel test as one of the fastest time trial bikes in the world, the new Speed Concept is also likely to be a real rocket.

To improve comfort for the rider, the Americans are now also using the "IsoSpeed" joint familiar from road racing bikes on the Speed Concept. It has been adapted to the weight distribution of triathletes with a pivot point further forwards.

The Speed Concept has a large adjustment range for the handlebars and saddle to customise the riding position. Adjustments can be made quickly using Allen keys. The handlebars can be removed for transport without changing the position.

The Speed Concept follows the trend in the triathlon sector and offers a "Bento Box" for stowing food and drink in the top tube. A 750 ml hydration reservoir is integrated between the arms. There is also a storage compartment in the down tube for a tube, a CO2 cartridge with pump head and a tyre lever.

The Speed Concept is only available via the Project One configurator, which can be used to customise the wheels.
