Trek Émonda SLR 9 AXS

Trek’s 2024 “Émonda SLR 9 AXS” is a state-of-the-art road bike that stands out for its outstanding lightweight construction and advanced technology. Priced at €12,999, this bike offers a wide range of top-of-the-range components and technical specifications.

The frame of the Émonda SLR 9 AXS is made from ultra-light 800 Series OCLV Carbon, which is renowned for its perfect balance and optimised performance tubes. The tapered head tube and internal cable routing contribute to improved aerodynamics and an elegant appearance. The frame is also DuoTrap S-compatible and features a flat-mount disc brake mount as well as a 142 x 12 mm thru-axle. The bike’s total weight is just 6 kg, whilst the maximum rider weight is 125 kg.

Braking performance is provided by SRAM Red AXS hydraulic disc brakes, fitted to both the front and rear. Both brakes are equipped with SRAM CenterLine X discs, which feature a Centre Lock mount and rounded edges. The brake discs have a diameter of 160 mm.

The Émonda SLR 9 AXS’s gear system consists of the SRAM RED eTap AXS, a 12-speed system that is both precise and reliable. The front derailleur is also a soldered-on SRAM RED eTap AXS. The crankset is a SRAM RED AXS with a power metre, featuring 48/35 teeth and a crank arm length of 172.5 mm. The bottom bracket is a threaded SRAM DUB, T47.

The cassette is a SRAM XG-1290 with a range of 10–33 teeth and is also part of the SRAM RED D1 12-speed drivetrain. The handlebars are an integrated Bontrager Aeolus RSL handlebar/stem unit made from OCLV carbon with Di2 cable routing. It has a reach of 100 mm, a drop of 124 mm, a width of 42 cm and a stem length of 100 mm.

The wheelset consists of Bontrager Aeolus RSL 37 wheels, which are also made from OCLV carbon and are tubeless-ready. These wheels have a rim height of 37 mm and use thru-axles measuring 100 x 12 mm at the front and 142 x 12 mm at the rear.

The saddle is an Aeolus RSL with carbon rails and a width of 145 mm. The seatpost is a Bontrager aluminium seatpost with a 20 mm offset.
