(Test Trek Émonda SLR10 see TOUR 3/2015) The bikes are worlds apart not only in terms of weight, but also in terms of geometry. The riding position of the Émonda SL 6 corresponds to a typical comfort road bike, although it is less upright than the very touring-orientated Domane. In a comparison of the two Trek models, the Émonda SL 6 is noticeably more stable, agile and manoeuvrable than the Domane, making it the much more dynamic bike. The technically good frame is completed by a largely high-quality spec with Ultegra groupset and good components from Trek's own brand Bontrager, including the exclusive Ride-tuned seatpost, which is clamped over the seat tube. Only the relatively simple wheels can't quite keep up the high standard.
CONCLUSION Comfortable riding position, extremely stable, high comfort on the saddle, functionally very well equipped.
