Trek Émonda SLR 9

The "Émonda SLR 9" model from the "Trek" brand from 2021 is a state-of-the-art racing bike that is characterised by its exceptional lightness and outstanding performance. With a price tag of EUR 11,499, it belongs to the premium class of road bikes and offers a wide range of technical features that are specially tailored to professional and ambitious riders.

The frame of the Émonda SLR 9 is made of ultra-light 800 Series OCLV carbon, which is known for its high strength and optimised performance tubes. The tapered head tube and internal cable routing contribute to aerodynamic efficiency, while the DuoTrap S compatibility and flat mount disc brake mount offer additional versatility. The 142 x 12 mm thru-axle ensures a stable and secure connection of the wheels. The permissible total weight is 125 kg, with the bike itself weighing just 6 kg.

The Shimano Dura-Ace hydraulic disc brakes front and rear (Shimano RT900, 160 mm, centre lock) ensure reliable and precise braking performance in all conditions. The drivetrain consists of the Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 R9170, an electronic shifting system with 11 gears that enables fast and precise gear changes. The front derailleur is the Shimano Dura-Ace R9150 Di2 in the braze-on version.

The fork of the Émonda SLR is also made from full carbon fibre and has a tapered carbon steerer tube and internal brake cable routing. The flat mount disc brake mount and the 12 x 100 mm thru-axle add to the stability and precision of the chassis. The crankset is a Shimano Dura-Ace R9100-P Power Meter with a gear ratio of 52/36 and a crank arm length of 170 mm. The sprocket is the Shimano Dura-Ace R9100 with a gradation of 11-30.

The bike's cockpit consists of the Bontrager Aeolus RSL, an integrated handlebar/stem combination made of OCLV carbon with internal Di2 cable routing. The handlebar has a width of 40 cm, a reach of 100 mm, a drop of 124 mm and a stem length of 90 mm. The tyres are Bontrager R4 320 handmade clinchers with Hard-Case Lite technology and a size of 700 x 25C.

The wheelset consists of Bontrager Aeolus RSL 37, OCLV Carbon, Tubeless Ready with a profile height of 37 mm. The thru axles measure 100 x 12 mm at the front and 142 x 12 mm at the rear. The saddle is the Bontrager Aeolus Pro with carbon stays and a width of 145 mm, while the seat post is a carbon seat tower attachment with an offset of 20 mm.

The geometry of the frame comprises a seat tube length of 48 mm, a top tube length of 53 mm, a head tube angle of 73 degrees and a seat tube angle of 74 degrees. The head tube length is 12 mm, the chainstay length is 41 mm, the standover height is 73 mm and the wheelbase is 98 mm. The packaging dimensions are as follows: Width 23 mm, height 88 mm and length 139 mm.
