Scott Speedster 30

The "Speedster 30" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a versatile road bike that stands out for its high-quality components and well-thought-out geometry. The frame is made from 6061 D.Butted Alloy, which is renowned for its durability and lightness. The frame’s endurance geometry, combined with integrated cable routing and compatibility with the Syncros mudguard kit, makes the bike suitable for both long rides and everyday use. The maximum load capacity is 120 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 10 kg.

The Speedster 30’s braking system consists of mechanical disc brakes from Tektro (SCD-550) at both the front and rear, each with 160 mm brake discs (Tektro TR-160-35). These ensure reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. The gear system is provided by the Shimano Sora RD-R3000-GS with 18 speeds, controlled by the Shimano Sora ST-R3000 Dual Control shifters. The front derailleur is also a Shimano Sora FD-R3000.

The bike’s fork is a Speedster HMF Disc with an eccentric carbon steerer tube, which provides additional stability and comfort. The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-ES300, and the crankset is a Shimano Compact FC-R345 with a gear ratio of 50x34 T. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG400 with 9 speeds and a gear ratio of 11-32T, whilst the chain is a KMC X9.

The handlebars are Syncros Creston 2.0 Compact with a diameter of 31.8 mm, and the stem is a Syncros RR2.5 with a length of 103 mm. The headset is an Acros AIF-1133. The rims are Syncros Race 24 with 28 spokes each at the front and rear, fitted with Schwalbe Lugano tyres in size 700x32C. The hubs are Formula Team II CL Disc 28 H.

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino Regular 2.5, mounted on a Syncros RR2.5 seatpost with dimensions of 27.2/350 mm. The packaging dimensions for dispatch are 26 mm wide, 87 mm high and 170 mm long, with the gross weight of the packaged bike being 17,160 g.

The bike’s geometry comprises a reach of 385 mm, a stack of 593 mm, a seat tube length of 560 mm and a top tube length of 569 mm. The head tube angle is 73 degrees, and the seat tube angle is 74 degrees. The head tube length is 163 mm, the chainstay length is 427 mm, and the bottom bracket drop is 70 mm. The fork offset is 45 mm, the top tube height is 820 mm, the fork installation height is 395 mm and the wheelbase is 1023 mm. The bottom bracket height is 275 mm.
