THE WHEEL
The shifting technology and bottom bracket from Shimano's tried-and-tested 105 groupset do their job just as well as the Shimano brakes, which are slightly inferior in terms of quality. The rather narrow saddle even provides some suspension comfort thanks to the carbon seat post. The weak point of the equipment is the hard-rolling clincher tyres.
CONSULTING/SERVICE
We consider it a mistake to recommend a size M bike to a 1.81 metre tall customer. The dealer must also scrutinise the assembly quality. Side impacts in both wheels, a brake pad that doesn't lie flat against the rim, different quick-release levers and cable housing that is too long are too many defects to look past. It doesn't help that the bottle cage is a gift from the company and the warranty on the frame has been extended from five to ten years. Unfortunately, the owner's manual has been forgotten.
