Scott Scale RC 200

The "Scale RC 200" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a high-quality children’s mountain bike available for 849 EUR. The bike’s frame is made from JR20 Rigid Disc light, a 6061 aluminium alloy, characterised by a curved top tube and a semi-integrated head tube. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 50 kg, whilst it weighs just 7 kg.

The bike is fitted with high-quality Shimano components. The front and rear brakes are Shimano BR-MT500s, combined with Shimano BL-MT501 brake levers. The brake discs have a diameter of 160 mm and are also from Shimano (SM-RT56). The derailleur is a 10-speed Shimano Deore RD-M5120, operated by the Shimano Deore SL-M4100-R shifter.

The bike’s fork is a rigid AL-6061 fork with a diameter of 1 1/8 inches. The bottom bracket is a Feimin BB68 with a cartridge and square taper. The crankset is a Prowheel BOOM-32P with a 32T chainring and a PVC chain guard. The chainring is from SunRace (CSMS0) and also offers 10 speeds in the range of 11–36 teeth. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC X10EL chain.

The handlebar system consists of a Premetec 6003F flat bar with a diameter of 25.4 mm and a length of 560 mm. The grips are Syncros Youth Pro 100 Grip. The stem is a LEADTEC LCS-7091, 50 mm long and also with a diameter of 25.4 mm. The headset is a Feimin FP-H809 with sealed bearings.

The rims are Alexrims MD19 for disc brakes, and the spokes are black (15G / UCP). The tyres are Schwalbe Rocket Ron Evolution ADDIX Speed, measuring 20x2.25 inches and foldable. The hubs are by Formula: the DC-140-F model at the front and the DC-38-R model at the rear.

The saddle is a Syncros Future Pro, mounted on an Alloy 2014 seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 250 mm. The pedals are Wellgo J345 with reflectors.

The packaging dimensions are 21 mm wide, 63 mm high and 111 mm long, with a gross weight of 11720 g. The “Scale RC 200” model is available in one size and offers a balanced combination of lightness, stability and reliable technology, specially tailored to the needs of young riders.
