The Plasma 20 frame was once Scott's top model. Since the introduction of its successor, the Plasma 3 (TOUR-Test 5/2011), it has served as the basis for the Swiss brand's affordable time trial models.

Nevertheless, the look with the integrated fork, the voluminous bottom bracket area and lowered chainstays still looks modern. The main reason for the moderate aero performance at first glance is the very simple Shimano wheels. Zipp 808 wheels accelerate the bike by more than 9 watts at 45 km/h to a respectable 303 watts. The riding characteristics on the very stable chassis are impressive. The filigree seat post offers a wide range of adjustment thanks to three positions for the seat clamp. The Profile handlebars have very comfortable, well-sprung armrests, but could offer more adjustment options.

ConclusionExclusive frame, outstanding riding characteristics. Also aerodynamically good after wheel upgrade.
