Scott Scale 24 rigid

The "Scale 24 rigid" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a high-quality children’s bike available for 499 EUR. It features a robust JR24 Rigid Disc frame made from 6061 alloy with a semi-integrated head tube and SCOTT dropouts to the IS standard. The maximum load capacity is 50 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 10 kg.

The braking system consists of mechanical Tektro SCM-02 disc brakes at both the front and rear, with 160 mm rotors, operated via Tektro TS325A brake levers. The gear system is a Shimano RD-TX800 Tourney with 8 speeds, operated via a Shimano SL-RS45-8R Revo shifter. The fork is a rigid AL-6061 fork to the IS standard.

The bike is fitted with MARWI SP-700 pedals, which are fitted with reflectors, as well as a Feimin bottom bracket (BB68) with a cartridge and square taper. The crankset consists of a 140 mm Prowheel Alloy crank with a 32T chainring and a PVG double chain guard. The cassette is a SunRace CSM55 with 8 speeds and a 11–34T range, whilst the drivetrain uses a KMC Z8.3 chain.

The handlebars are 560 mm wide aluminium Junior flat bars, fitted with Syncros Youth grips (100/80 mm). The stem is a 50 mm long LEADTEC LCS-7130 with a 25.4 mm clamp. The headset is a Feimin FP-H807, semi-integrated with a diameter of 1 1/8".

The bike rides on Alex C-1000 Disc rims, fitted with black 15G UCP spokes. The tyres are Kenda K1227 Booster in size 24x2.4" with a 30 TPI casing. The hubs are Formula DC-19-F at the front and Formula DC-25-8-R at the rear, both fitted with quick-release (QR) mechanisms.

The saddle is a Syncros Future Pro model, mounted on a 26.8 mm thick and 300 mm long aluminium seatpost. A handy kickstand completes the spec. The bike’s gross weight is 14,900 g.
