Scott Scale 24

The "Scale 24" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a high-quality junior bike designed for young cyclists. Priced at 499 EUR, it offers a solid specification and durable components. The frame is made from Scale 24 Junior Alloy 606, ensuring a robust yet lightweight construction. The maximum rider weight is 50 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs in at 11 kg.

The Scale 24 is fitted with Tektro V-brakes at the front and rear; the brake levers are specially designed for children’s hands and feature twist shifters. The gear system consists of a Shimano RD-TX800 Tourney with 8 speeds, operated via the Shimano SL-RV400-8R Revo shifter. This allows for easy and precise gear selection.

The bike’s fork is an SR Suntour XCT-JR 24 with 50 mm of travel and a softer suspension, which provides extra comfort on uneven terrain. The pedals are specially designed for children and fitted with reflectors to enhance safety.

The bottom bracket is a Feimin BB68 with a cartridge and square taper, whilst the crankset consists of a Prowheel Alloy Crank with a length of 140 mm and a 32T chainring. The cassette is a SunRace CSM55 with 8 speeds and a 11–34T range, driven by a KMC Z8.3 chain.

The handlebars are aluminium Kids Riser Bars, 560 mm wide with a 20 mm rise. The grips are Syncros Grips Kids100/80, which ensure a secure grip. The stem is also made of aluminium, has a length of 50 mm and an angle of +10°, with a 25.4 mm clamp. The headset is a Feimin FP-H807 with a 1 1/8" Semi Int. size.

The Scale 24’s rims are Alex C-1000, both front and rear, and the spokes are 15G UCP in black. The tyres are Kenda K1227 Booster, measuring 24x2.2" with a thread count of 30 TPI, which ensures good traction and stability. The hubs are KT-A55F at the front and KT-A52R at the rear, each fitted with a quick-release mechanism.

The saddle is a Syncros Future Pro, mounted on an aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 26.8 mm and a length of 300 mm. A handy kickstand is also included for convenient parking.

The packaging dimensions are 22 mm wide, 67 mm high and 124 mm long, with a gross weight of 15,440 g. The model is available in one size under the Bontext SCO Scale 24 range.
