Scott Scale 20 silver

The "Scale 20 silver" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a high-quality junior bike designed for young riders. It is available at a price of 399 EUR. The bike’s frame is made from 6061 alloy, ensuring a robust yet lightweight construction. The frame features a semi-integrated head tube and SCOTT dropouts compatible with V-brakes. The maximum load capacity is 50 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 10 kg.

The Scale 20 Silver’s braking system is specially tailored for children and consists of Lee-Chi TX-119L brakes at both the front and rear. The brake levers are Tektro JL-510 TS / RS, which are also designed with children in mind. The gear system is a Shimano RD-TY300 with 7 speeds, operated via the Shimano SL-RS 36-7 Revo shifter. This allows for simple and intuitive operation by young riders.

The bike is fitted with an SR Suntour XCT-JR 20 fork, which offers 40 mm of travel and features softer suspension to enhance comfort. The pedals are MARWI SP-700 with reflectors for added safety. The bottom bracket is a Feimin BB68 cartridge with a square taper, whilst the crankset consists of a Prowheel alloy crank measuring 127 mm in length and a 36T chainring, which is covered by a double chain guard.

The cassette is a SunRace MFM300 with 7 speeds and a gear ratio of 13–34T, whilst the drivetrain uses a KMC Z7 chain. The handlebars are aluminium Junior Flat-Bar with a width of 540 mm, complemented by Syncros Youth grips. The stem is a LEADTEC LCS-7130, 50 mm long with a clamp width of 25.4 mm. The headset is a Feimin FP-H807 with a semi-integrated design.

The rims are Shining V-6NS, and the tyres are Kenda K1227 Booster in size 20x2.2" with 30 TPI, fitted to both the front and rear. The hubs are KT-122F at the front and KT-122R at the rear, both secured with nuts, and the spokes are 15g UCP in black. The saddle is a Syncros Future Pro, mounted on an aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 26.8 mm and a length of 250 mm. A handy kickstand is also included.

The bike is supplied in packaging measuring 22 mm wide, 63 mm high and 111 mm long, with a gross weight of 14420 g. The model is available in ‘One size’ and bears the designation ‘SCO Scale 20 silver’.
