Scott Scale 20 rigid

The "Scale 20 rigid" model from Scott, released in 2024, is a high-quality children’s bike available for 459 EUR. The bike’s frame is made from a robust aluminium alloy (JR20 Rigid Disc, Alloy 6061) and features a semi-integrated head tube as well as SCOTT dropouts with the IS standard. The maximum load capacity is 50 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs just 9 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Tektro mechanical disc brakes (SCM-02) at both the front and rear, fitted with 160 mm brake discs. The brake levers (Tektro JL-510 TS / RS) are also of high quality and offer reliable control over the bike.

The bike features a Shimano 7-speed derailleur (RD-TY300), operated via a Shimano Revo shifter (SL-RS 36-7). The rigid fork is made from AL-6061 aluminium and is designed to the IS standard. The pedals are MARWI SP-700s and feature reflectors for added safety.

The bottom bracket is a Feimin BB68 with a cartridge and square taper, whilst the crankset consists of a Prowheel aluminium crank (127 mm) with a 36-tooth chainring and a double chain guard (PVG double cover). The cassette is from SunRace (CSM40) and offers a gear range of 11–34T. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC Z7 chain.

The handlebars are aluminium Junior Flat-Bar with a width of 540 mm, complemented by Syncros Youth grips (100/80 Grip). The stem is a LEADTEC LCS-7130, 50 mm long with a 25.4 mm clamp. The headset is a Feimin FP-H807, semi-integrated and measuring 1 1/8".

The rims are Shining V-6NS Disc, laced with black 15G spokes. The hubs are from Formula (DC-19F at the front and DC-25-7-R at the rear), both fitted with quick-release (QR) mechanisms. The tyres are Kenda K1227 Booster in size 20x2.4", with a TPI of 30, which ensures good grip and stability.

The saddle is a Syncros Future Pro, mounted on an aluminium seatpost (26.8 mm diameter, 250 mm length). A handy kickstand completes the package.

The packaging dimensions are 21 mm wide, 63 mm high and 111 mm long, with a gross weight of 13120 g. The bike is marketed as the “SCO Scale 20 rigid One size”.
