Mischa Bredewold wins stage 3 of the Vuelta a Burgos Feminas 2026 ahead of Mireia Benito
Mischa Bredewold has won the 3rd stage of the Vuelta a Burgos Feminas. Together with Mireia Benito, the rider from the SD Worx - Protime team reached the finishing straight and clearly won the final sprint. Bredewold's team-mate Lorena Wiebes came third, retaining the yellow jersey as overall leader.

With a spirited attack on the last climb, the Alto de Bocos, Mischa Bredewold (Team SD Worx - Protime) broke away from the peloton 13 kilometres before the finish. At this point, only Amanda Spratt (Lidl-Trek) and Silke Smulders (Liv AlUla Jayco) were able to stay on her wheel. Six kilometres before the finish, she then stepped up the pace again and literally left her two rivals standing. In no time at all, she rode ahead of the soloist Mireia Benito (AG Insurance - Soudal Team), who had been in the lead up to that point, with whom she then entered the final straight. She then topped off her strong performance with a strong final sprint. Bredewold left Benito no chance on the finishing straight and was thus able to celebrate the stage win on the 3rd stage of the Vuelta a Burgos Feminas.

After Wiebes' double strike, Bredewold now lets SD Worx rejoice

Behind Bredewold and Benito, Lorena Wiebes secured third place in the sprint of the peloton behind. Wiebes herself had already celebrated the day's victory in bunch sprints on stages 1 and 2. The sprint dominator thus remains in the overall leader's yellow jersey thanks to the bonus seconds at the finish.

The SD Worx - Protime team has excelled so far in the Tour of Burgos. Not only has it won all three stages in the person of Wiebes and Bredewold, but it also has the overall leader's jersey in its own ranks.
