Heart rate monitor chest straps for heart rate measurement: the Sigma R1 Duo Comfortex+ in the TOUR test.

Of the three heart rate belts from Sigma, the R1 Duo Comfortex+ at a price of 60 euros, the top model transmits its data via Bluetooth and ANT+, which also increases its usability with older devices. The fact that the transmitter and strap can be purchased separately is customer-friendly. The chest strap is identical to the one from Lezyneexcept for the lack of a textile cover over the clasp, which can pinch or squeeze. The transmitter is labelled as waterproof, although Sigma does not provide any information on the water depth to which the transmitter can be used; there is also no information on battery life. As far as pairing with end devices is concerned, the Sigma sensor is one of the unproblematic and fast candidates. With smartphones and Garmin devices, it only took a few seconds, and even with the not very connection-friendly Wahoo, the Sigma belt was ready for data exchange within a minute thanks to ANT+.
