At a price of 45 euros, the Lezyne is one of the cheaper chest straps. However, the transmitter and strap are not available to buy individually, but only as a set. The required button cell is supplied separately, protected against discharge. To update the software, the transmitter must be paired with the Lezyne Ally app on the smartphone; a red LED indicates the progress of the data download. The textile strap is the same as Sigma's, but also has a pad on the hook fastener. It is comfortable to wear up to a chest circumference of 110 centimetres, although the long, smooth rubber surface around the sensors initially feels cool when you put it on. According to the manufacturer, the sensor is also suitable for swimming, but it is only waterproof to a depth of one metre. Pairing with the Health app on the iPhone and Garmin Edge 830 took just a few seconds, and the belt can always be identified thanks to clear labelling, even with multiple sensors. Despite repeated attempts, no connection could be established with the Wahoo Elemnt training computer.
