Kaden Groves has won the 4th stage of the Tour of Catalonia 2023. The Australian won in a bunch sprint.

After 188.2 kilometres between Llivia and Sabadell, Kaden Groves (Alpecin-Deceuninck) ahead of Frenchman Bryan Coquard (Cofidis) and Corbin Strong (Israel-Premier Tech). As the best rider of the German racing team Bora-Hansgrohe Dutchman Ide Schelling sprinted to fourth place.

Roglic defends overall lead

In the overall standings of the Tour of Catalonia 2023 Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) defended his lead. The Slovenian is still level with Remco Evenepoel (Soudal - Quick Step), but leads due to the better placings on the stages. Evenepoel had finished the day before won the mountain finish in La Molina. Friday could see a preliminary decision in the battle for overall victory, as a steep final climb awaits in Lo Port.



The Volta a Catalunya traditionally ends on Sunday after seven stages on a circuit with the Montjuic in the Catalan metropolis of Barcelona. The tour offers a foretaste of the upcoming Giro d'Italia in May, where Roglic and Evenepoel are also the two big favourites for overall victory.
