The Tour de France Femmes will start in Brittany in 2025. The organiser A.S.O. announced details of the first three stages on Monday.

Next year, the Tour de France Femmes will start in Brittany on 26 July. The 4th edition of the Tour de France Femmes will kick off with a stage between Vannes and Plumelec with a finish on the Cote de Cadoudal. The second day takes the peloton from Brest to Quimper. The finish will be a steep climb.

The first three stages of the Tour de France Femmes 2025 at a glance

The start of stage 3 is La Gacilly, the finish on this day is not yet known. The rest of the route will be officially unveiled in Paris in October. The Tour de France Femmes will be held over nine stages in 2025. This year there are eight. "Nine stages for the Tour de France Femmes 2025: this is a strong sign that shows the enthusiasm for the race and women's sport in general," said race director Marion Rousse on Monday when announcing the start location for 2025.



The 2024 Women's Tour de France begins on 12 August in Rotterdam in the Netherlands and ends on 18 August with the mountain finish in Alpe d'Huez - where there is also an event for everyone. The Tour of France for women has existed in its current format since 2022. Annemiek van Vleuten won the premiere, followed a year later by her compatriot Demi Vollering.
