According to BMC, a technical problem with the front wheel and frame has been identified on the 2017 and 2018 model year Timemachine 01 time trial bike, which requires an inspection by a specialist dealer. With certain tyre sizes, the distance between the tyre of the front wheel and the down tube of the frame may fall below the necessary safety tolerances. Contact between the tyre and frame cannot be ruled out either, according to BMC.
Even if only a few such cases are known, the manufacturer asks all owners of the model to have their bike checked by a specialist dealer to be on the safe side. Models of the Timemachine 02 brand are not affected.
