A closer look at the most outstanding road bikes of 2025: the classy Baldiso One as the most expensive racer, the surprisingly affordable Canyon Endurace Allroad for hobby riders, and the affordable Cube Litening Aero C:68X SLX, which impresses on the professional World Tour. These three models excelled in 2025 and left a lasting impression.
With its frame construction without a seat tube, the Baldiso One is reminiscent of carbon experiments from the 1990s. Technologically, however, the golden racer turned out to be at the cutting edge: 6.6 kilograms light, extremely torsion-resistant and competitively fast in the aero test. However, the strictly limited design object is not suitable for competition due to the lack of UCI approval, and the single gear ratio, which is far too tight, sets additional limits. 18,720 euros is the asking price for this collector's item.
999 euros for a racing bike? It's been a long time since we've been able to find anything worthy of consideration in this price range. With the Endurace Allroad, Canyon 2025 presented a bike that is heavy and only moderately comfortable, but otherwise shows hardly any weaknesses. The handling is impeccable, the riding position comfortable, the contact points even very comfortable. A pleasing counterpoint to many technically great, but unfortunately very expensive test bikes.
The Litening Aero is the most prominent product, but is just one example of the spectacular offerings from the Cube brand: at € 7,299, it costs less than half of what other manufacturers charge for comparable bikes at World Tour level. In every comparison in which the manufacturer was represented, it set similar accents in terms of price and performance. This does not always lead to a test victory, but shows that exceptions to the rule are possible.
