After four dominant years for Team SD Worx - Protime, there has been a changing of the guard at the top of the UCI team rankings. FDJ - Suez has secured its place as the best team of the 2025 season, breaking the streak of recent years. The transfer of top rider Demi Vollering is just one reason for the change at the top.
In total, the eight best female riders in the team collected 12,490 points, which corresponds to an increase of more than 5,000 points compared to the previous season. The dominator of the last few years - Team SD Worx - Protime - scored 11,115 points, a drop of around 8,400, which clearly shows a connection between the change in the best points scorer, Demi Vollering, and the success of FDJ - Suez.
The two German teams in the ranks of the Women's WorldTour performed significantly worse than last year. Canyon//SRAM zondacrypto slipped to fifth place in the world rankings and collected almost 2000 points less. The Ceratizit Pro Cycling Team scored just over half (3282 points) of the previous season's points. The team will be disbanded for the coming season.
Once again, Team SD Worx - Protime was able to claim by far the most victories. A total of 47 this season, followed by UAE Team ADQ with 28 victories and FDJ - Suez with 22. However, as the races are scored differently, the current UCI ranking is based on this.
Alongside the German teams, Team Picnic PostNL in particular is falling down the world rankings. They are only 14th after last year's fourth place. On the other hand, the Movistar Team moved up to sixth place, while Team Visma | Lease a Bike dropped to seventh place despite winning the Tour. The last three teams in the top 10, Liv AlUla Jayco, AG Insurance - Soudal Team and EF Education - Oatly all improved slightly.
Meanwhile, nothing has changed at the top of the nation rankings. The Netherlands (14,422 points) are enthroned in first place for the 16th time, followed by Italy with 9683 points. Thanks in part to Marlen Reusser, Switzerland jumped to third place, collecting more than 6000 points more than last season. Belgium lost a lot of positions and points: With just 3501 points, they swap places with Switzerland from the previous year - and are just behind the top 10 in eleventh place.
While France and Poland continue to occupy fourth and fifth place, Australia is pushed out of sixth place by Spain. Great Britain moves up one place to seventh, while New Zealand and Norway take the two places behind them. The USA drops out of the top rankings and only makes it to 13th place, while the top 10 is rounded off by Canada, which moves up four places.
