Ist nach seiner beeindruckenden Vorstellung in Nyborg auf der 3. Etappe einer der Favoriten: Der Niederländer Fabio Jakobsen.
After the boring stage over the Great Belt, cycling fans and riders alike are hoping for more action on the third stage of the Tour de France.

The Tour de France's guest appearance in Denmark ends today in the sailing paradise of Sønderborg. On the 182 kilometres starting in Vejle, there are only four small hills to conquer. Perhaps the wind will play a role.

The sprinters

According to the organisers' plans, the stage offers one of the few chances for a real bunch sprint. Fabio Jakobsen is likely to be the favourite after his impressive performance on Saturday. Other sprint stars such as Australian Caleb Ewan, Dutchman Dylan Groenewegen and Belgian Jasper Philipsen are already under pressure to deliver a result.

The wind

After the major wind chaos failed to materialise on the second stage, there could be confusing situations one day later. According to the forecast, there will always be crosswinds in the last 40 kilometres and therefore the chance of the peloton breaking up. The contenders for overall victory must not allow themselves any lapses in concentration.

The folk festival

In the finale of their three-day Tour party, the Danes will once again make the pilgrimage to the route in large numbers. The Grand Départ cost a total of 24 million euros - at least according to calculations by the newspaper "Politiken". The Danish public is not being informed of the true costs, which is causing debate in the country. The government is invoking confidentiality clauses.
